Sticky Thing members rock Stern Grove Music Festival
Sticky Thing members and Bay Area jazz pioneers Black London are bringing big energy to San Francisco’s legendary Stern Grove Festival, opening for Michael Franti & Spearhead on August 3. This free, iconic event is known for delivering world-class live music to the community — and Black London is poised to light it up with a showcase of local talent.
Led by Mike Blankenship, Kev Choice, and Howard Wiley, Black London mixes jazz, soul, hip‑hop, and improvisation with the kind of feeling only the Bay Area knows. It’s more than just a concert — it’s a celebration of the Bay Area’s creative culture. When Blankenship, Choice, and Wiley join forces, audiences hear the entire lineage of Black music on stage: roots in the UC Berkeley Youth Musicians Program, seasoned synergy from touring with Ms. Lauryn Hill, and years of studio and live experience.
Don’t miss the chance to experience Black London’s full force before Michael Franti takes the stage. Doors open at 12pm for this free, all-ages community concert.
